Event Highlights:

Parking:
Thanks to our Lifesaver Sponsors, all Hike for Hope participants received complimentary parking at Bear Mountain State Park.

Morning Check-In:
Participants started their morning with complimentary breakfast foods (bagels, muffins, granola bars, fruit, coffee) generously sponsored by our Lifesaver Sponsors.  PC Construction provided water.

Healing Activities:

• Writing Letters to Heaven

• Using the Wind Phone

• Adding messages to the Stigma Tree

• Creating keepsake bookmarks

Honor Beads & Lifekeeper Memory Quilts:
Participants picked up honor beads and viewed the Hudson Valley & Westchester Lifekeeper Memory Quilts, honoring loved ones lost to suicide.

Kids' Activities:
Face painting, animal balloons, and hard hat decorating brought smiles to our youngest hikers.

Opening Ceremony:
We heard powerful opening remarks from Sean Gerow, AFSP HV/WC Board Chair, and Rob Labbe, our incredible Hike Chair.
 

New This Year: Food Trucks!

For the first time, participants enjoyed food trucks when they returned from the hike. They were a delicious addition to the day!
