Matching gifts are a great opportunity to double the impact of your contribution to AFSP! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. Event Day Info

Walk participants, vendors and volunteers must utilize the free public parking surrounding Town Green Park.

Parking map below of free lot parking. A free public parking lot is located at 9669 Grogan's Mill.

Each year at the Greater Houston Walk we try to share local community resources with our attendees. Be sure to visit their tables on walk day.

 

Kids' Activities 

Visit our kid's booth to plant a seed of hope, Meet Santa and make a sign. Kids' activities also at the Mix 96.5 Tent!

Hope & Healing
Memorial Photo Wall

Bring a photo of your loved one to include on the memorial photo wall. Please bring a copy, not an original, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged photos.

Blue Hearts Memorial & Prayer Garden

Be sure to visit our blue heart memorial garden near the stage. Thank you Gabby Davis, for your help with our hearts!

FAQs

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum to participate.

We strongly encourage each participant to set a $150 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!

 

If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?

The event shirts are only given to individuals who raise $150 by 11/09/2024.

If your whole team wants a shirt, each member must raise $150

 

How do I make an offline donation?

To send a donation by check, please complete the Offline Donation Form and send it with your check to the address provided.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the Greater Houston Area Walk.

 

How do I change my team status?

If you're already registered and looking to create a new team or join an existing one, simply log into your account and click "change team membership".

Can I register at the Walk? 

You can register or donate in-person at the Walk by scanning a QR code. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.
