Walk Day Details:

Our community walk starting point is in Howard Park and we will walk along Northside Blvd., heading east on the sidewalk almost to the Sample Street bridge.
We veer to the right at the East Bank Trail where we will conduct a memorial service at the river lookout. After the memorial, participants are free to walk back to the park at their leisure, in their own time and at their own pace.
This walk is not very long. Wheelchairs, walkers and strollers will be fine on the sidewalk, but where we do the memorial service, there are a lot of stone/concrete steps to tackle as we head down to the river. Please dress appropriately for late September weather and we look forward to walking with you!

🧦 As apart of our new honor and memorial activity at the walk, we invite you to bring a new pair of socks on event day (9/21). Pick a pair of socks that remind you of your loved one. Socks will be displayed with you loved one's name on the day of the walk and then donated to local community partners following the walk in their honor. Help spread the word.
