Bear Mountain State Park charges a $10 parking fee. Thanks to our generous Lifesaver sponsors, Hike for Hope participants will not have to pay for parking!      Print Your Parking Pass!

Hike Day Schedule: Check-In @ the RED TENT: 9:00 am - 10:00 am- Thank you for starting your day with us. Music provided by DJ Mari (@Marid.ny), who is generously donating her time and talent to support suicide prevention.

Take a Team Photo by the AFSP Trailer

Face Painting, Animal Balloons & Hard Hat Decorating for Kids

10:00 am Opening Address, AFSP Representative, Robe Labbe Hike Chair.

10:20 am: We will take a Hike Group Photo & then the TOP TEAM Northeast Structural Steel will carry the AFSP Banner & start the 2nd Hike for Hope!

Hike options- Hike as little or as much as you like!

Main Hike (Paved Path) – 2.62 miles: Start at AFSP Tents to around large field/ carousel, around Lake Hession through Zoo and back to AFSP Tents.

Around Lake (Paved Path) – 1.20 miles

Through Zoo and back to AFSP Tents (Paved Path) – 1.21 miles

Around large field and carousel (Paved Path) – 0.68 miles

Hike options thru the woods are available as well.   

Leashed Dogs are allowed at the Hike but  NOT permitted in the ZOO AREA.

Restrooms are open.

Food Trucks – New This Year!
We’re excited to welcome food trucks to Hike for Hope for the first time!
Enjoy a variety of food options from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PMYou are welcome to stay and enjoy the park.  Picnic Tables are available.  The park does NOT have grills, but you are allowed to bring your own.

The Trailside Museums & Zoo- is open, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

HIKER’S CAFÉ & STAND  is open,  7:00 am – 5:00 pm
