Activities of Hope and Healing
ALL PARTICIPANTS can EARN A TRIBUTE SIGN AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU!! All REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS who raise minimum $250 by JULY 31st, 2021 will qualify for ONE (LIMIT ONE PER REGISTERED PARTICIPANT) with a picture and memory of a loved one lost to be placed along the Walk route. All signs will be SINGLE SIDED & will have a QR Code linking directly to your fundraising page when scanned. (24”x18”, stake included, Sample Sign Below) Signs will be available for pick up AFTER the EVENT.
SUBMISSIONS MUST BE MADE BY AUGUST 15th, 2021.
OMAHA AREA WALK STAFF WILL CONTACT ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE RAISED $250 via E-MAIL AFTER JULY 31st!!! See sample sign below.
We are working HARD to bring you some amazing items up for auction! The auction will be held on our Facebook Page, beginning in Late-August. One item will be posted daily with a minimum bid requirement. Bids will be received in the comments under each individual original post ONLY. No outside bids (messenger, text, email) will be accepted. Each item will be available for bidding for a minimum of 12 hours, then commenting will be closed. The highest bidder will be contacted via the AFSP Nebraska page with instructions for payment and receipt of auction item.
There will also be raffle held at the event.
Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection. There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above. Learn more by watching our honor bead video.
The Out of the Darkness Experience is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
