Welcome to the 15th Annual Out of the Darkness DFW Metro Walk

Wait.. are we actually walking to fight suicide this year?

Yes! Join us on October 30 at Choctaw Stadium (formerly Globe Life Park) in Arlington as we walk together, in-person, to stop suicide and celebrate 15 years of Out of the Darkness Walks in Texas. (as permitted by state and local guidelines on event day.)

Why did the name change?

We are excited to announce that we are combining the Dallas and Fort Worth walks to create the DFW Metro Out of the Darkness Walk. We invite you to join us as we form one large catalyst of hope to create a culture that is smart about mental health and suicide prevention.

Memory Wall

Bring a photo of your loved one to put on the memory wall. We ask that you bring a copy instead of an original, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged photos.

Wall of Hope

Leave special messages of hope for the community on our traveling wall of hope.

Honor Beads

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection. There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above. Learn more by watching our honor bead video.

The Out of the Darkness Experience is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
