Welcome to the Out of the Darkness Hamilton Walk
IMPORTANT UPDATE (9/14/21): We will be moving to a staggered arrival format due to COVID-19 concerns. Registered teams will arrive at pre-assigned times throughout the morning, enjoy various event activities, explore resource vendors, grab their honor beads, pick up their walk t-shirt (if they raised $150 or more), and then go on a 2 mile walk. There will not be a formal Opening Ceremony. Teams will be contacted in the coming days about arrival times. We appreciate your support and flexibility with ongoing planning!
Dogs are allowed. Please clean up after them.
Children of all ages are welcome.
There will be a walk-up registration and a way to drop off donations, but if possible, please register and donate online to avoid having to line up in the registration area.

Will you help save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide?
We know times are tough and it has been a long road since 2020 but we hope you will make a commitment to support suicide prevention. You don't need to decide today if you will walk or join virtually, but we do ask that you commit to standing with AFSP to raise awareness and fight this leading cause of death. Register today or donate to help save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
The Hamilton Walk, is about community, connection, and hope. However you participate - a walker, virtual participant, donor, or sponsor - you are part of an important movement to create awareness about suicide prevention.
Your safety and well-being will always be our top priority, and while we remain hopeful that we'll be able to gather in person once again this fall, we are closely monitoring CDC, state AND local guidelines and will continue to share updates in the coming weeks.

Virtual Hope Wall
As a chapter, we have created a virtual HOPE wall where you may post messages of HOPE and LOVE to inspire those who have been affected by suicide. We want to create a virtual space to share messages of hope and encouragement and have another opportunity to come together as a community in support of one another. We encourage you to leave a note, share a story, post a picture and check out the others inspiring messages.
We will have to approve each post to make sure all images and texts are safe, therefore it might take a few hours to show on the wall. Thank you for understanding!
