Welcome to the Out of the Darkness Bergen County Walk

IMPORTANT UPDATE (10/7/21): We will be moving to a staggered arrival format due to COVID-19 concerns. Registered teams will arrive at pre-assigned times throughout the morning, enjoy various event activities, explore resource vendors, grab their honor beads, pick up their walk t-shirt (if they raised $150 or more), and then begin their walk. There will not be a formal Opening Ceremony. Teams will be contacted in the coming days about arrival times. We appreciate your support and flexibility with ongoing planning!

If you are not walking, but would like to pick-up your walker shirt, please check in with staff at 9:30 AM.

Dogs are allowed. Please clean up after them.

Children of all ages are welcome.

There will be a walk-up registration and a way to drop off donations, but if possible, please register and donate online to avoid having to line up in the registration area.

Virtual Hope Wall

As a chapter, we have created a virtual HOPE wall where you may post messages of HOPE and LOVE to inspire those who have been affected by suicide. We want to create a virtual space to share messages of hope and encouragement and have another opportunity to come together as a community in support of one another. We encourage you to leave a note, share a story, post a picture and check out the others inspiring messages.

We will have to approve each post to make sure all images and texts are safe, therefore it might take a few hours to show on the wall. Thank you for understanding!
