Welcome to Maryland Hike for Hope 

May 1 to 31, 2022


Join us for the 2nd Maryland Hike for Hope during May, Mental Health Awareness Month. Donate $25 or more to register, and participate as an individual or team. Choose any mountain/trail and climb/hike anytime between May 1st to 31st. Once registered you will receive a Maryland Hike for Hope shirt in the mail no later than April 29. When you are out and about hiking, wear your shirt and post it on social media using #HikeForHopeMD and tagging @afspmaryland.



Register for the 2022 Maryland Hike for Hope. Your goal is to complete (5) squares in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) to get a BINGO by May 31st at 11.59 pm. Once you complete a row, email an image of your marked bingo card and a selfie in your Hike for Hope shirt to to enter into a drawing. On June 1, we will randomly select 5 hikers from all Bingo cards submitted. The winners will receive a stainless steel "Mental Health Water Bottle" and HOPE hat.

First hiker who marks all 5 lines of squares (so all squares) and emails the bingo card with a Hike for Hope shirt selfie to, will win an Out of the Darkness "Trekking Backpack", AFSP shoelaces, stainless steel "Mental Health Water Bottle" and HOPE hat valued at $420. Bingo card and selfie must be received by May 31st at 11.59 pm in order to win!



Starting at $250, businesses can show their support to the suicide prevention mission by contributing a tax-deductible financial gift as a sponsor. We also accept in-kind donations and goodies that we can use for challenges or raffle. The deadline to submit your company's logo us March 25, 2022. What we want to see: you hiking, you wearing an AFSP shirt, you practicing self-care, you raising awareness, a picture of a loved one lost to suicide etc. Also make sure to post your hiking pictures on social media using #HikeForHopeMD and tag @afspmaryland. When uploading your image or story, it might take a few hours for the story to publish as each post will have to be approved by our team first.
