The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

Is there parking?
How long is the Walk route? Approximately 3 miles, but walk what you choose! If you prefer not to walk, you are welcome to hang out at the event site. Walk path is combination of paved and unpaved terrain.
Is there a registration fee?
If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?
How do I make an offline donation?
Is there a fundraising minimum?
Can I register at the Walk? Yes! You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.
Are dogs allowed? Yes! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the walk. Don't forget to bring some water for your pup too!
Parking, route, and other info will be updated as we get closer to Walk Day.

Day-of Experience: Resources & Activities
Be sure to visit our Paws for Prevention table to purchase some AFSP swag for your pooch! Pet bandanas are available in small ($3) and large ($5) sizes.
Kid's Tent: Free children's activities will be available in our kids tent area.
Honor Beads will be available on-site to show your connection(s) to the cause.
Hope & Healing
Remembrance Tent: Be sure to bring a photo or poster of your loved one to display in our remembrance tent. There you'll also find "I'm walking for..." buttons to wear on the walk.
Hope Tent: Free activities of hope and healing will be available throughout the day.
