Rain Plan!   

We know there is a chance of rain in the forecast for Saturday. If it's raining we will set up on a covered patio near the student union instead.  Parking will remain the same and you will head to the same location and look for the covered patio.

The Out of the Darkness Campus Walks are the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) signature student fundraising series, designed to engage youth and young adults in the fight to prevent suicide, a leading cause of death.

FAQs

Is there parking? Yes, participants and vendors are able to park in orange, gold and green parking spots in Lots A & B. The orange and gold parking spots in Lots A & B will be the closest parking options to the event location (Student Union Plinth). Purple parking spots are not reserved for walk attendees and will be ticketed.

The quickest way to access campus and parking Lots A & B will be to enter on Bryce Jordan Dr. off of Floyd Rd. Lots A & B will be on the right hand side of Bryce Jordan Dr.

Then make your way to Student Union Plinth marked on the map with a blue Star.

Is there a registration fee?
No, there is no registration fee to participate.

Is there a fundraising minimum?
No, but we strongly encourage each participant to set a $100 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!

If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?
No. The event shirts are only given to individuals who raise $100. If your whole team wants a shirt, each member must raise $100

 

How do I make an offline donation?
To send a donation by check, please complete this form and send it with your check to the address provided.

Parking, route, and other info will be updated as we get closer to Walk Day.

Parking passes will be required, please print THIS image and bring with you to the Walk. Please permit on dashboard near steering wheel. 

 

Can I register at the Walk? Yes!  You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until June 30th.
