A note from your volunteer walk chair and committee:
We are excited to share that we are moving the Indianapolis Out of the Darkness Walk to Military Park (right next to Celebration Plaza) for the 2023 Walk. We listened to your feedback and this new space will provide more shade for our attendees, more room to expand our community resources, allow us to invite more food trucks (we could only have 3 at Celebration Plaza), and improve our participant experience as a whole. The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

Partner with us as an event sponsor for the Indianapolis Out of the Darkness Walk taking place on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide would not be possible without the community engagement. Today, support for mental health is needed more than ever and we are asking you to join us in the movement to prevent suicide. With your help, the Indiana Chapter will be able to maximize our mission impact by reaching and serving more people through our lifesaving programs and resources.

Is there a fundraising minimum? |
Can I register at the Walk? Yes! You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st. Are dogs allowed? Yes! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the walk.
