Location: Brazos Park East, Waco, TX
Check-in Time: 6:00 pm
Visit the kids area, hang a picture of loved ones lost on the memorial wall, eat hotdogs, decorate a luminaire, pick-up honor beads, visit vendor booths, purchase AFSP branded merch, and listen music by Eric & Thomas unplugged.
Opening Ceremony and Walk Start Time: 7:00 pm
Join us for the opening Ceremony followed by the walk.
Candle light ceremony to be held immediately following completion of the Walk.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

Atwoods is hosting a fundraiser for the Waco Out of the Darkness Walk! Hotdogs are available to anyone with a free-will donation to the walk. We will also have promotional items for pick-up such as yard signs, flyers, and more! We hope to see you there!

$988+ Champion of Hope. Anyone walks registered for a walk in Texas who raises $988 will get an exclusive shirt designed by a walker in Texas! Why $988? Last summer the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline launched their new number nationwide, 988. If you or someone you know is crisis, you can call 988 and be connected with a crisis counselor. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. $1,000+ Walker Spotlight. Receive a shoutout on social media. * Donations can be made to a team as a whole, but the T-shirt and other incentives are based only on INDIVIDUAL fundraising. Team Incentives $1,500: Team Spotlight. Raise $1,500 and get a spotlight for your team on social media.

Is there a fundraising minimum? |
Can I register at the Walk? Yes! You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st. Are dogs allowed? Yes! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the walk. |
