Location: First Christian Church, Winder, GA, Winder, GA
Check-in Time: 1:00 pm
Walk Start Time: 2:00 pm

12:30 PM: Registration/Check-in Open
1:30 PM: Children's book reading: Gizmo's (on the lawn)
2:00 PM: AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk Welcome, walk to follow.
3:00 PM: Walk concludes
Parking: will be available at the church's upper lot, in front of the church and school (prior to 1pm) and at the Winder Barrow High School gym or football stadium lots.
Team Captains: You are encouraged to bring a tailgate tent for you and your team to gather around and under. Bring refreshments and memorabilia of your loved one, if you like. You are welcome to set up starting at 12:30pm. Check-in will be open at that time.
All Participants: Check-in will be open at 12:30pm to allow you time to visit the resource tables, raffle tables (includes UGA items), enjoy yard games, and visit the AFSP tables. Pizza slices and sodas will be offered (donations welcomed)
Walk Route: A 1 mile loop, starting at the campus of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and looping around Winder-Barrow High School campus and football stadium, returning to the church campus. Water stations will be available on the walk route. Walk will conclude by 3pm. You are encouraged to walk as many loops as you like.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

Is there a fundraising minimum? |
Can I register at the Walk? Yes! You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st. Are dogs allowed? Yes! Friendly, leashed dogs and cats are welcome at the walk. |
