We acknowledge that the walk is happening during Rosh Hashanah. If you are unable to make the Annapolis Walk this year, please consider joining us for any of the other 10 other Maryland Out of the Darkness Walks that will run from September 9 to November 4,

Walk Route: not quite 2 miles



Address: 5050 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401, enter through GATE 5 (there is no parking fee)
Walk Route: 2 miles, paved
Walk Time: we walk as a group starting around 10.30 am; depending on the amount of people attending, the walk takes about 1 hour, there is no closing ceremony.
Walk T-shirts: will be available for everyone who raised $150 or more (individual fundraising, not team fundraising) - must be picked up on the day of the walk.
Merchandise: AFSP shirts and pooch bandanas will be available for sale at the AFSP booth
Bathrooms: On site at the Stadium


Memorial Slides

Deadline 9/8 at 5 PM

If you would like for us to display a picture of your loved one on the Stadium’s Jumbotrons during the walk, please email a picture (high quality) and their first and last name to Erin Deegan at The picture needs to be received by no later than Friday, September 8 at 5 PM. If you submitted a picture in the past, no need to resubmit; but you are more than welcome to send Erin an email to make sure your loved one will be included in the slides. Thanks!

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

$150+ - Raise $150 by 09/16/2023 and receive the official Out of the Darkness Walk t-shirt!   Donations can be made to a team as a whole,  but the T-shirt and other incentives are based only on INDIVIDUAL fundraising.

Is there a registration fee?
No, there is no registration fee to participate.


If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?
No. The event shirts are only given to individuals who raise $150. If your whole team wants a shirt, each member must raise $150


How do I make an offline donation?
To send a donation by check, please complete this form and send it with your check to the address provided.


Is there a fundraising minimum?
No, but we strongly encourage each participant to set a $150 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!


Can I register at the Walk? Yes!  You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.

Are dogs allowed? Yes! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the walk.


Parking, route, and other info will be updated as we get closer to Walk Day.
