*A NOTE ABOUT FACEBOOK FUNDRAISING FOR WALKS*
We apologize for the technical difficulties we’re experiencing with Facebook Fundraising on DonorDrive. Currently, this is not a fundraising option for our walkers. Your friends and family can still donate directly to your page by utilizing the Text to Donate option. Please follow the steps outlined below:
Spread the Word About Parking & Highmark Stadium Policies!
As with last year, there will be a $5 parking fee at the event. There will be a parking attendant available at the gate to pay by cash or credit card beginning at 8am. The spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the lot is full, there is parking available in other Station Square lots, but those are not $5 and charge hourly. We know that long lines form as people are trying to leave the stadium, so we recommend paying for parking at the pay station upon arrival at the event as it is a flat fee. This will make it easier to exit the parking lot after the walk is over. If you arrive prior to 8am, please opt to pay at the pay station at the entrance of the stadium. There is a Riverhounds game that night so all cars must be removed from the parking lot by 2pm.
Please note that no parking is permitted on W. Station Square Drive outside of the stadium. The street will be closed once the event starts for the walk route and cars parked there will be ticked by Station Square Properties. Any cars you see parked along this road are employees of Highmark Stadium and have permits.
Additionally, as a reminder, no food or drink other than water is permitted on the field per Highmark Stadium's guidelines. We are encouraging everyone to bring their own, filled water bottle. Water will be available at certain points on the field and before the start of the walk.
NEW THIS YEAR!
Kona Ice will be on site, donating 20% of all sales back to the Pittsburgh Walk so be sure to visit them during the event!
Kona Ice is the shaved ice truck that brings a one-of-of-a-kind, tropical experience to you. Guests can flavor their own Kona Ice on their signature Flavorware, dance to their island tunes, and enjoy a nutritious and delicious treat!
