Sadly I recently lost my wonderful son Joshua Marsland to suicide.

I am joining hundreds of thousands of people across the country who are walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks to prevent suicide and support AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

My beloved son had it all: an incredible wife, a passion for paddle boarding and snowboarding and adventures, and an excellent job as a stellar private chef. Joshua left behind his grieving wife Christie, loving brothers John (and wife Joanne), Christopher, and Sean, me, his grieving father David (and wife Verna), and so many devastated family members and friends. He also left behind his beautiful dog Rubi.

Sadly Joshua suffered with depression, which he often self-medicated. He would never have knowingly inflicted such pain on those he loved. Something snapped and he ended his precious life far too soon.

We can't bring Joshua back to life, but we can help prevent others from ending their lives prematurely and shattering their loved ones lives through suicide.

Please help me reach my goal by clicking the "Donate" button on this page. All donations are 100% tax deductible and benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), funding research, education, advocacy, and support for those affected by suicide.

If you would like to donate by check, please download the offline donation form HERE and mail it with the check.

Thank you for your generous support!
