Erik was born on January 14, 1971, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Shorewood alongside his sister, Molly, and doting parents, Ralph and Libby. His charismatic and creative spirit earned him lifelong friendships, which were touchstones of his journey. Erik attended Shorewood High School, where he played baseball, football, and basketball. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he served as President of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. In 2001, Erik's life found new meaning with his marriage to Beth Clancy. They have a beloved daughter, Magdalene India Farmer, who was Erik’s favorite person. Some of Erik’s passions included the Beatles, Shorewood, and spirited discussions about conspiracy theories, while moments spent at the family cabin on Garth Lake became cherished memories.  Erik was loved by many, and he will be missed.
