Please join us for the first-ever Paws for Prevention event in Minnesota. We will have fun events for dogs and owners! 


About Paws for Prevention

 

Research has found that the bond between people and their pets can lower stress and feelings of loneliness while bringing comfort to their owners. We hope you and your furry friend will join us for our Paws for Prevention event to raise awareness and support for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) mission and work to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. Funds raised will help AFSP create a culture that is smart about mental health through vital research, educational and community programs, advocacy, and support for survivors of suicide loss. 

 

What to Expect: Registration is free, but we suggest a $25 donation at the door or fundraised through your personal fundraising page. When you raise or donate $25, you'll receive a special Paws for Prevention door prize! 

Day of Activities Include:

  • Pet portraits provided by Debra Anderson Photography. For just $25, you'll receive a professional portrait of your dog that is yours to keep (via a link to download that will be shared after the event).

  • Fun crafts for you and your dog to create memories that will last fur-ever!

  • A food truck (yum!)

  • Raffle with fun pet-themed and AFSP themed prizes

  • Photo booth for humans and dogs, the more the merrier!

  • AFSP merch, including limited edition Paws for Prevention glassware 

 

Come enjoy one of 10K Brewing’s beers or just come for a "yappy hour" to meet some new furry friends, all are welcome. No matter what, let's raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention in Minnesota! This is a family-friendly location that has non-alcoholic options for sober living participants and fundraisers.

 

While we love all animals, only dogs are invited to join us at this event. Thank you for understanding!
