Welcome to the Delaware Out of the Darkness Experience and Program Info Page
#BeTheVoice of suicide prevention in Delaware
While our Out of the Darkness Walks are going to look different this year, our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide has not changed. We are a strong and resilient community, united in our effort to fight suicide, raise awareness, educate our communities, support those who have lost loved ones, and support those with lived experience. We invite you to join us on October 17 for the Delaware Out of the Darkness Experiences. Instead of gathering for a big event, we encourage you to walk to fight suicide with friends and family (following CDC guidelines) in your neighborhood, in parks, or on your treadmill. If walking is not your thing, do whatever you enjoy – it is YOUR experience. We want to keep you up-to-date with the most current information so be sure to sign up for any of the Out of the Darkness Experiences listed below and join us!
We are always #TogetherToFightSuicide

About the AFSP Delaware Chapter
The grassroots work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize our chapters.
