Make a Difference
#BeTheVoice of Suicide Prevention in Northeastern New York
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention works to save lives by increasing awareness and education, supporting those affected by suicide and those who struggle, fighting for mental health/suicide prevention legislation, and funding innovative research grants.
Our work is not possible without your support! Your gift to AFSP allows us to reach communities in all 50 states with our life-saving resources and support. Make your donation on December 1st in honor of someone you love at one of the events listed below.

Discover Community Programs
Through our educational programs, we teach schools, communities, and workplaces how to best prevent suicide and create a culture that is smart about mental health. AFSP currently has over 30 educational programs. Many of these programs are brought to your local communities free of charge because of the funds raised from our Out of the Darkness Walks.
We provide the opportunity for local volunteers to be trained to present our community and school based programs such as Talk Saves Lives, More Than Sad, and It’s Real: Mental health for Teens or It's Real: Mental Health for College Students.
Contact Area Director Missy Stolfi at email@example.com to inquire about scheduling a program in your community.
