Welcome to the Push for Awareness 2021

Hello Riders,

We would like to acknowledge that 2020 was a tough year in this COVID era especially concerning peoples mental health. We hope that all of you are doing well and coping through the final stretch of this pandemic. Last year we opted to practice a COVID friendly event, we had multiple teams doing separate routes on different days to maintain smaller groups. We’re very hopeful that normalcy will return and we can gather in large groups again in this year's event and help raise awareness and funds especially for those whose mental health was impacted by this pandemic.

This year we will have the option of doing either a new group route or virtual route!

For the PFA virtual route:

It’s pretty simple, riders will be able to independently ride 100 miles on the route and date of their choice! PFA will send you a PFA team shirt and care package for your push. All we ask is that you send us photos and tell us about your journey so we can share your experience and courage to push with us in ending the stigma of mental health.

For the PFA 100 mile 2 day and 50 mile 1 day group route(s):

We will start our ride June 19th, 2021 in Lester Prairie MN early Saturday morning and end our 100 mile route the following day on June 20th, 2021 at the Como Park Pavilion in St Paul MN.

  • Day one: 100 mile 2 day riders will check-in and start pushing early Saturday morning from Lester Prairie and end at Mississippi Gateway Regional Park.

  • Day two: Sunday morning our 50 mile one day riders will join up with us and check-in at the Mississippi Gateway Regional Park and head all together to our final destination at the Como Park Pavilion in St. Paul. We plan on arriving at the finish line between 1-2p.m.

We understand that 100/50 miles is a long tiring ride. Don't worry, every 8-10 miles, riders will be provided with energy beverages, snacks, and medical aid if needed. Support vehicles will always be available to riders that need a lift to the next stop(s). Don't be afraid to ask for help.

As in previous years this trip will provide: meals, water, snacks, shuttle to Lester Prairie MN if needed, and lodging for Saturday night.

Shuttle option: Saturday morning for people who need to park their cars overnight at a central location of the event. More information will follow concerning the shuttle, everyone parking overnight in the designated area will be responsible for getting from the finish line back to their vehicle. We will not have a shuttle for people to get back their vehicles.

There will be a finish line celebration for our rider’s accomplishment, so invite your friends and family! Como Park Pavilion in St. Paul Sunday 2/20/21 12-4pm

There will be ample free parking, food, raffle prizes, Speakers, and live entertainment. Riders will roll in around 1-2p.m to our family and friends cheering the PFA team in!

We will have training runs for anyone interested. Look for emails soon with training days.

Check your email for updates coming soon! Email riders@pushforawarness.com with any questions.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!
