Thank you for registering to walk with us at Sparks Marina. Parking is available in the lots around the park and marina.  Event Check in begins at 9:00 am in the Gazebo. You ONLY need to check in If you raised the $150 and earned the walk shirt OR have donations to turn in.  Each walker must raise $150 to qualify and they will be distributed while supplies last. If we run out of your size, it will be ordered and sent to you after the event.  We will have select AFSP merch for purchase, no cash will be accepted. You can make the donation using QR codes that offer Apple Pay, Venmo, Amazon Pay, PayPal and CC. Day of registration will be available by QR code on your own device at the event.

Honor beads will be available as you enter the venue, there is no cost for these. We will begin the Walk Ceremony at 10 am.  We will feature our connections to the cause in the Honor Bead Ceremony. Snacks and water will be provided. We will have a community partner resource fair during the event. Live music and connection are a must after the years we have missed being together.

Event will conclude around 12 pm. You are welcome to picnic in the park and marina after walk.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.

FAQs

Is there a registration fee?
No, there is no registration fee to participate.

 

If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?
No. The event shirts are only given to individuals who raise $150. If your whole team wants a shirt, each member must raise $150

 

How do I make an offline donation?
To send a donation by check, please complete this form and send it with your check to the address provided.

 

Is there a fundraising minimum?
No, but we strongly encourage each participant to set a $150 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!

 

Can I register at the Walk? Yes!  You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until June 30.

 

Parking, route, and other info will be updated as we get closer to Walk Day.
