Welcome to the Out of the Darkness
Day of event schedule:
- 10:00am - Registration and Resource Fair Open
- 11:00am Opening Ceremony/Walk
PLEASE BE ADVISED: The Alzheimer's Association will also be hosting an event at Lake Mayer Park beginning at 8:00am on Saturday, Sept. 24th. Please plan to RIDESHARE if possible, parking will be challenging.
Our event will be held at the Large Pavilion.
What Can I Expect on the Day of the Walk?
Registered participants who have raised $150 or who have $150 to turn in should report to the registration area to pick up their incentive shirt. All other participants do not need to check in at registration.
This year we will feature a Memory Board for you to post a leave behind picture or note to your loved one at the walk. Please do not bring an original picture, we are not able to ensure you will get it back after the event.

- We all walk for different reasons. Maybe we have lost someone to suicide, or perhaps we walk because we have friends or family that live with a mental health condition. It is our goal to honor all of the reasons you choose to walk.

Participants will be able to visit our community resource fair on the day of the walk.
The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
