Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Register now for the Out of the Darkness Middlesex County Walk on November 6th, 2022 at Thompson Park, Jamesburg, NJ.
The reason I'm joining AFSP's Out of the Darkness Community walks again in 2022 is to spread awareness for all of our first responders who fight with thoughts of suicide every day and to be a voice for those who might have lost someone due to suicide.
Being someone with friends and family in the NYPD & FDNY, I see what these amazing men and women have to go through on a daily basis. Many are publicly ridiculed regularly and for some, it becomes to much to handle.
Since joining the Out of the Darkness Community walks, I walked in honor of Terrance McAvoy who was an NYPD sergeant who died by suicide in 2019. We both went to the same college and even though we weren't the best of friends or even in the same fraternity, he was a friend, classmate & overall good human being that is truly missed by all. We lost Terrance to suicide but I want to make sure he is not forgotten.
This is why I am joining hundreds of thousands of people across the country who are walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks to prevent suicide and support AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
