OUR MISSION IN OWEN’S HONOR:

Owen Philip Tabor was many things, a son, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, a grandson and a friend. He had a great sense of humor, a strong will and many charming personality traits. In Owens memory, please join my family and I by walking in honor of him and raising money to prevent suicide from devastating other people’s lives.

Help Team Rain Will Bring Flowers Foundation Break the Record for Largest Walk Team!

AFSP Louisiana and the Rain Will Bring Flowers Foundation (RWBFF) are partnering this fall to break the record of the largest team, previously set at the 2014 Hampton Rhodes, Virginia Out of the Darkness Walk, at the annual Greater Baton Rouge Out of the Darkness Walk.

The RWBFF was created in memory of Owen Tabor, who lost his life to suicide in April of 2023. “Owen was an incredible joy and friend to so many people”, said Jordan Tabor, Owen’s Father, and founder of RWBF. RWBF’s mission is to prevent student athlete suicide. “Our goal for this year’s Greater Baton Rouge Out of the Darkness Walk is to break the national record of walkers, and by doing so, raise awareness and remove the stigma associated with suicide.”

To break the record, Team Rain Will Bring Flowers is working to recruit 1,211 walkers. Even if you're signed up for a walk in your community, you can still join Team Rain Will Bring Flowers on October 7 in Baton Rouge! Click here to join their team as a virtual or in-person walker today!

The Rain Will Bring Flowers Foundation is dedicated to preventing student athlete suicide. Learn more and follow the RWBFF on Facebook and Instagram.

We are joining thousands of teams across the country to help save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

Please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to a team member. Please select "Roster" and then choose one of the team members listed. Once you're on their page, click "Donate Now."

If you would like to donate to the team by check, please download the offline donation form HERE and mail it with the check. Just write the team name in the first name field.
