Talking about suicide is like talking about the elephant in the room, everyone knows it's there, but no one wants to talk about it. Suicide affects everyone and it doesn't care what race, religion, social status or age. I have personally seen so many families and friends destroyed by someone's "last decision" that it makes my heart hurt. No family should have to see their loved ones laying in a rectangular box waiting for the lid to close. If you hear someone talking about harming themselves, do something, listen to them or guide them to a professional that can help them work through their thoughts and feelings. 

This year, I am raising awareness for suicide prevention by participating in the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge . This 10,000 mile endurance event will have motorcyclists navigate from the starting line in Daytona, FL, to Key West, FL then across the country, without the luxury of GPS or hotels to the finish line in Homer, AK
