Visit the Hannaford Tent for complimentary snacks

Wear your Honor Beads: Honor Beads will be available to show your connection(s) to the cause.
 
Purchase Raffles: There will be great raffle baskets - CASH ONLY - Winner must be present. $10 a raffle
 
Merchandise: AFSP merchandise will be available for purchase at the LifeSaver Table. Cash or credit accepted.  Shirts $20, Hoodies $40
 
Loss and Healing Tent: We will have a Loss & Healing Resources and view the local Hudson Valley LifeSaver Memory Keeper Quilts.
 
Advocacy: Support local advocacy efforts.  Sign the Bridge Barrier Petition

9:45 am- Listen to Author Lisa Champion read her book  Buffalo Joe: A Buffalo with a dream 
 
Pets—We Love our four-legged furry supporters! Well-behaved Leashed Dogs are allowed. Please clean up after them, too!

10:00 am Opening Ceremony with the Arlington & Town of Poughkeepsie Honor Guard.
AFSP Board Member Speaks - Learn about Advocacy, Healing Conversations, ISOS Day & more.
 
Guest Speaker: SFC Alexander Stewart, author of the book Unspoken Words: The Thoughts of a Soldier 
 
Guest Speaker: Survivor Joy Sherwood
 
Walk Chair Ashley will speak and announce the Top Teams & Fundraisers.
 
At approximately 10:20 am,  the Doves will be released & the Top Team Starts the Walk - (Papa Roach- Leave a Light on will play)
 
Walk to the Dutchess Side, turn around in the circle & head back.

FAQs

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum to participate.

We strongly encourage each participant to set a $150 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!

 

If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?

The event shirts are only given to individuals who raise $150 by 09/28/2024.

If your whole team wants a shirt, each member must raise $150

 

How do I make an offline donation?

To send a donation by check, please complete the Offline Donation Form and send it with your check to the address provided.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the Dutchess & Ulster Counties Walk.

 

How do I change my team status?

If you're already registered and looking to create a new team or join an existing one, simply log into your account and click "change team membership".

Can I register at the Walk? 

You can register or donate in-person at the Walk by scanning a QR code. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.
