KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

The Paulding County Out of the Darkness Walk is an outdoor event and will be hosted rain or shine! It looks like we'll have a cool, sunny day!

Arrival: Check-In will begin at 11:00am for participants 13 and older. If you registered online, you DO NOT HAVE TO CHECK IN! Individuals who have raised $150 or have $150 in donations to turn in, please report to the registration area to pick up shirts. 

Can I register at the walk? YES! You can register in-person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk Donations are accepted until December 31st. 
 
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the walk.
 
Please bring appropriate items for the day as we are holding the Out of the Darkness Walk rain or shine. Items to consider – hydration, snacks, sunscreen, hat, umbrella, and comfortable shoes.
 
Water is being donated and is first come, first served, please plan to bring extra water!
 
Parking is available onsite and is no cost.
 
Event Activities:
  • Master Sounds Entertainment will be providing DJ services and a photobooth! We will have props available for your photos. 
  • Kona Ice will be onsite providing shaved ice snacks
  • Tumbleweed Coffee will be there to share a unique coffee and drink menu
    • Kona Ice and Tumbleweed Coffee will be donating a portion of their proceeds to the walk!
  • A raffle with some FABULOUS prizes
  • Yard games for a little friendly competition
  • Honor Bead Ceremony; beads will be available at the walk
  • A Hope and Healing gridwall where individuals can leave messages of hope. **If you would like to bring a photo to share of a loved one you are honoring, please plan to bring a copy of your photo!

FAQs

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum to participate.

We strongly encourage each participant to set a $150 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!

 

If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt?

The event shirts are only given to individuals who raise $150 by 10/19/2024.

If your whole team wants a shirt, each member must raise $150

 

How do I make an offline donation?

To send a donation by check, please complete the Offline Donation Form and send it with your check to the address provided.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the walk.

 

How do I change my team status?

If you're already registered and looking to create a new team or join an existing one, simply log into your account and click "change team membership".
