Brittany Belland, from Cincinnati, OH, was 28 when she left this world on November 21, 2018.  She was a beloved daughter, sister, partner, friend, companion, mentor, and above all, a kind, supportive, and loving presence in the lives of those who were lucky to have known her.  She cared deeply about the people she loved and will always be loved by many.

Brittany was an avid rock-climber, a karaoke star, and the type of person you want with you on a road-trip. She loved to explore new places or return to those she knew well, and was always willing to try something new. She connected easily with people she met, even if just in passing, and treated everyone with compassion and respect.  She was passionate about helping others in need. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, she self-started a fundraising campaign to aid the homeless in her community.

In her creative and professional endeavors, Brittany was a talented actress, writer, producer, and comedienne, among so many other things. She was courageous, never shied away from a tough job, and took all opportunities she could to further her career.  Brittany possessed a unique presence "on stage" and often the creative and innovative driving-force when working "behind the scenes".  We encourage everyone to watch her Comedy Reel for a glimpse into what she was like, her natural aptitude for performance, and to hear her contagious, heart-warming laugh.

Brittany was passionate about mental health awareness. In the months before she passed, Brittany wrote, produced, and starred in a one-woman show,"BELLAND", in which she bravely and skillfully discussed mental health issues.  Brittany donated the proceeds of that show to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP),  a voluntary health organization whose mission it is to research, educate, and advocate for action against this leading cause of death.

On behalf of Brittany's family, we thank you for your contribution to the AFSP in Brittany's memory to help prevent suicide and help those affected by loss of a loved one who struggled.  We encourage everyone to learn more about AFSP's core strategies for suicide prevention, and how this organization provides tens of thousands who have lost a family member, loved one, or friend to suicide with support, community connections, and hope.
