Daniel (Dan) Auckley was a loving father, faithful brother and friend to many.

Dan had a kind, tender-hearted spirit. One of Dan’s most endearing traits was his sincerity and gentle offer of encouragement in all moments. While he was a man of kindness, he was also a man of great strength and integrity. Above all, Dan was a selfless, he put others needs above himself.

One of the things Dan enjoyed most in life was swimming. He would travel far and wide to watch his daughters compete in swim meets. He didn’t just enjoy watching the sport, he too swam for the exercise and pure enjoyment of being in the water. One of Dan’s daughters remembers early on in her swimming career her dad would take her to the local outdoor pool so she could practice her backstroke outside. It was rare for Dan to ever miss a swim meet, or really any athletic event his daughters participated in. He even elected to become a timer for their meets and become an officiant. He was their #1 cheerleader.

Dan was also meticulous. Along with cheering them on at nearly every athletic event, he kept detailed notes of the events they participated in and their final times. All of which are housed in notebooks he called “time books”. These notebooks are cherished pieces and represent Dan’s care for his daughters.

Though Dan’s passing has left those who knew and loved him experiencing grief and sorrow, they find comfort in these scriptures and hope those who come to this page find comfort as well.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Revelation 21:4

“For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him. From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will perform before those who fear him. The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord! May your hearts live forever!”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭22‬:‭24‬-‭26‬
