We lost Alice on December 27, 2013. She was brave, passionate, intense, empathetic, and funny. She was a gifted pianist and songwriter, a talented actor, an enthusiastic teacher. If she were still with us, she'd be 28 years old.

Alice was distressed by injustice and inequality, and wanted to make the world a better place for others. That desire led her to pursue a Master's degree in Social Work—a degree she never finished. We hope this memorial fund will help others who struggle with depression and self-harm, so their stories can have better endings. So the world can be a better place.

Alice would have liked that.
